Per the current Department of Justice, the title of this newsletter is a federal crime. If you are confused by that, you should be.

Former FBI director James Comey has been indicted for the following Instagram post:

Donald Trump is currently using the Department of Justice to harass and prosecute his critics while rewarding his supporters.

Michael Flynn was Trump’s first National Security Advisor during his first term. After Trump’s election, but before he took office, Flynn asked the Russian government not to retaliate against US sanctions imposed on Russia. Flynn was signaling to Russia that Trump would go easy on them once he took office.

Flynn was interviewed about this interaction during the investigation into the successful Russian effort to elect Donald Trump. Flynn lied to the FBI about the conversation. He admitted this and pleaded guilty.

And then he changed lawyers and changed his mind. Despite the fact he admitted he lied and pleaded guilty to it, Flynn started to claim the FBI tricked him and did not tell him it was a crime to lie to them.

That latter part is insanely incredulous. Flynn worked in military intelligence and then was the chief intelligence advisor for the president. The idea that he did not know it was a crime to lie to the FBI is nonsense. Flynn knew what he did was a crime which is why he entered a guilty plea.

Flynn eventually moved to withdraw his guilty plea, but there was no need as Donald Trump pardoned him for his lies told in service of protecting Donald Trump.

Fast forward to Donald Trump’s current term. Flynn sued the government for malicious prosecution. Take in mind, Flynn admitted he broke the law and pleaded guilty to breaking the law. Trump’s Department of Justice settled with Flynn for $1.2 million. He has filed another lawsuit over having his wages garnished as a result of his lying to the FBI.

Michael Flynn is a criminal who obstructed the investigation into Russia’s election interference. The government is now paying him for prosecuting the crime he pleaded guilty to. Trump’s Department of Justice now serves one purpose - Donald Trump.

Countless investigations into those close to Trump have been dropped. Pardons have been given to the men who attacked police officers on 1/6/2021. Some of those men are now seeking financial damages over the government prosecuting them for what they did - attacking police in an attempt to overturn the election. It’s likely the Department of Justice will acquiesce.

The inverted side of this is that Trump is openly using the Department of Justice to attack his critics:

• New York Attorney General Letitia James

• Representative LaMonica McGiver and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka

This is not an exhaustive list and I will leave it to you to look up what has happened to each member. All of them have been investigated and/or faced RIDICOUSLY weak charges.

Which brings us to former FBI Director James Comey.

Erik Siebert was the US attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. He was forced to resign last year after he refused to indict James Comey and Letitia James - as he did not believe they had committed crimes.

Siebert was replaced with Lindsey Halligan. Halligan was a personal lawyer for Donald Trump, whose experience was in the insurance industry. Before her appointment as US attorney, Halligan was working to make sure exhibits at the Smithsonian did not overly criticize the United States - part of Trump’s far reaching effort to literally rewrite history.

In Halligan, Trump found the sycophant he wanted. Halligan had zero prosecutorial experience and was woefully unqualified. In a process full of buffoonish mistakes, Halligan indicted both Comey and James. These cases were absolutely laughable but we won’t get to see that play out in court. The courts found that Halligan was illegally appointed. Her indictments were dismissed, though Trump’s DoJ is appealing those dismissals.

But after two failed attempts, Trump was not done trying to prosecute James Comey.

Which brings us to the above Instagram post. Comey was walking on the beach near his home in May of 2025. He encountered an arrangement of seashells spelling out “8647.” Notably here, Comey did not arrange the seashells himself. He found them that way.

We do not actually know the specific origins of the term “86.” But we DO know it comes from the service industry and refers to removing a menu item or kicking a customer out of a restaurant. Hence 8647 simply means to get rid of Donald Trump, the 47th president. The rather obvious implication here is removing the president via the impeachment process.

But the Department of Justice is claiming that 86 means “to kill” and not only was James Comey posting a message about assassinating the president, but that this image was proof COMEY HIMSELF was planning on assassinating the president.

James Comey - a 30 year government veteran who prosecuted mafia leaders and served as FBI director. The government wants you to believe Comey’s picture of seashells spelling out “8647” was him announcing his intentions to murder Donald Trump.

Acting Attorney General Blanche, another former Trump lawyer, went on air today to say that of course other people posting 8647 won’t be prosecuted for making threats and that they’ve been investigating Comey’s post for a year. Numerous Trump officials and the president himself have said 86 is a mafia term referring to executing someone then burying the body 8 miles away and 6 feet deep. These claims are absolute nonsense. Multiple mafia prosecutors have said they have never heard the term used this way. Trump and a few others have claimed the term is prevalent in mafia movies. This is a lie. As of writing, no one has been able to find the term being used in a mafia movie this way.

As per Blanche’s claim there is more to this, uncovered by a year long investigation, we have a copy of the indictment itself. It mentions nothing other than Comey’s Instagram post.

The Department of Justice and the president are lying about the meaning of a food service term in order to indict the former FBI director for a threat he was not making after failing to have an indictment stick against him twice before.

Donald Trump views the entire Department of Justice as his personal weapon to go after his critics. You can add this to the long list of impeachable offenses Donald Trump has committed in the last year, but more dangerously, this is a fantastic example of how Trump views the entire government and how the Republican Party does nothing but enable him.

The Department of Justice maintained a firewall between themselves and the executive branch until January 2025. Trump has wholly corrupted the Department at this point. When this is over, restoring its integrity will be of paramount importance.
