March is for Music (and other Events @ Trident)
Merry March, everyone! The sun is back, the ice has lifted (knock on wood,) and the world’s sociopolitical order is having its guts rearranged. Weather, economics, fashions: whatever way the wind blows, our needs stay the same. We want to be warm, safe, and comfortable. Trident aims to deliver.
March Is For Music
We’re continuing to build out our Thursday performance programming, and with the help of the DHBC, we have three great shows upcoming this month! No cover, only good vibes!
March 6th, 6:30pm: A celebration and exhibit of art from artists Amruta & Ankur, accompanied by live music inspired by the work by local artist, Sajal!
March 13th, 6:30pm: A live performance from indie artists Johanna Gibson and Ash Jansen!
March 20th, 6:30pm: A live performance from Noel Taussig of the Bare Bones Blues Band + singer Iyla Sparrowhawk, with guests Shannon and Kam!
Workshop: Self-Editing for Writers!
Join Molly Rookwood, owner of Rookwood Editing, for this workshop on how you can use the tools of professional editors to gain much-needed distance from your story and break the revisions process into manageable steps.

The Up Close Cabaret Continues!
March 27th, 7:30pm: The Halifax Magic Club presents an intimate evening of tricks and marvels from some of Halifax’s top stage magicians! For tickets, visit Eventbrite!
Date Night Donut Night, and $12 Cocktails!
Every Friday evening, the Unicycle Bakery hosts a fresh, hot donut pop-up at Trident, frying custom donuts to order on the spot. And now, we are offering a date night special:
A Hot Donut and a Cocktail for $15, or any Cocktail alone for $12!
We will be bulking up our selection of (quiet, 2-person) boardgames over the coming days, so come for an incomparable treat, a few drinks, and downtime with your partner. 6pm-9pm every Friday!
Upcoming Closures
There are no statutory holidays in March, but Trident will be closing early (6pm) on Wednesday, March 5th for a private event. Plan accordingly!
