Artist Almanac Launch this Thursday!

Hi friends!
Thanks so much to everyone who completed our Margate Artist Almanac. We got hundreds of responses - amazin!
We’re excited to announce that a write-up, Q&A and invitation for others to take part will be published in this season’s Margate Mercury. We’ll be celebrating the publication launch this Thursday, 30th May, with the Mercury at The George and Heart, 6-9pm - and you’re invited! This is your opportunity to see it first before it’s up online on Friday 31st.
Please join us for drinks and a chat, it would be great to meet you in person. Just turn up anytime from 6pm.
Free copies of the Margate Mercury will be available in most Margate shops and cafes, so feel free to pick one up and encourage your friends to submit to the Almanac. It’s open to anyone who defines themself as having a creative practice who lives, or has lived, in Margate.
Here’s a snapshot of text from the Mercury feature:
“Margate’s creative scene has been shifting dramatically over the past few decades, but who are the artists and organisations coming in and out of the town? The Margate Artist Almanac is about celebrating who’s here, and taking a deeper dive into what they do. As the town’s artist population ebbs and flows, the Almanac is about starting a conversation and documenting who’s who. Led by artists, the Almanac is a non-commercial project that seeks to provide an on-going historic snapshot. It is open to anyone who has a creative practice based in Margate, as well as those who have previously lived and worked here. A big thanks to everyone who has contributed so far!”
Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday!
To being less of a stranger, but never less strange.
With love, Julie
