Fall 2026 Transit Trekker Update

Fall 2026 update on Transit Trekker things

Hello!

You are receiving this email because you either signed up to get infrequent updates from Transit Trekker some time in the last several months or because you are already on the list.

Yes, it has been a long minute. I had some unexpected and significant personal challenges late last year and getting back to work on Transit Trekker has taken some time. I am fortunate to have much support from friends and community and am doing fine.

So, an update! Mostly for Washington and the area.

You can skip ahead to the entire update, or check out these highlights:

  • Quick update on the book, with much appreciation for beta readers.

  • Join me and King County Parks and King County Metro on October 1 for a Week Without Driving event

    • Volunteer to help with the October 1 trip audit (this happens after the event)

    • If you live in King County council district 8, please invite CM Mosqueda and key staff to Transit Trek & Trip Audit. Suggested invite language and more info is at the link. Not in District 8? Click through, you can adapt the template to invite YOUR reps.

  • Thank you if you spoke up for transit access to Ross Lake! And there’s a nascent effort to push for public transit access to Mt. Rainier.

  • If you can’t get enough transit trekking, check out newly formed EcoCity Action.

  • Transit Trekker is produced without AI and will continue to be AI-free for the foreseeable future.

That’s not all the news I have to share, but in the interest of keeping things relatively short, that is it for now.
