...Ethiopia
When I saw this headline today (26/08/22)…
Ceasefire in Tigray shatters, plunging millions back into anarchy
…where neither side admits to firing first, I thought, this might warrant a closer look.
This post is mainly speculation on my part and could easily be classed as a conspiracy theory.
April 2018, Abiy Ahmed becomes Prime Minister of Ethiopia. Just to digress for a moment, at the same time Ethiopia also got a new President, Sahle-Work Zewde. Although it seems the President’s role is largely ceremonial as the PM calls all the shots, a look at her Wiki page reveals that she has held several very high level positions at the United Nations, and is on the Forbes list of The World's 100 Most Powerful Women. Would that sway a new, young PMs decision making?…probably.
January 2019, Abiy Ahmed makes his case at World Economic Forum, where he says:
“Ethiopia is undergoing significant institutional reforms to enhance the ease of doing business and increase our global competitiveness. The Private sector should be integral part of our economy. We are committed in opening up the economy,” Ahmed added.
Telecommunications, logistics, energy, aviation, railways, and industrial parks were some of the areas Ethiopia has opened up for foreign investors, according to the Prime Minister.’
Sound familiar? But that’s not all…
‘While in Davos, Abiy Ahmed held one-on-one discussions with George Soros, Head of the Open Society Foundation, Bill Gates, co-Chairman of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Jack Ma, Chairman of the Alibaba Group.
Abiy Ahmed also met Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum. Dr. Ahmed and Mr. Schwab agreed to hold the 2020 World Economic Forum in Ethiopia.’
October 2019, Abiy Ahmed wins Nobel Peace Prize, these have been awarded to cabal puppets for at least 10 years, another Soros puppet Liberia’s Ellen Johnson Sirleaf got hers in 2011, 4 days before winning an election she shouldn’t have been allowed to contest.
October 2019, Soros Economic Development Fund Joins Ethiopia Investment Fund, to the tune of $10 million ($100 million in total).
So, it’s all going great for Abiy Ahmed…but then something happened, I don’t know what. Perhaps he realised his dealings with swamp were never about helping Ethiopia, or maybe he backed out of commitments made, perhaps he became more China or Russia friendly, whatever it was…the swamp turned on him.
Aug 2020, Ethiopia falls into violence a year after leader’s Nobel peace prize win, writes the Guardian.
‘Abiy Ahmed came to power promising radical reform, but 180 people have died amid ethnic unrest in Oromia state.’
Hmmm, where have I heard that before?
‘Once people are shot and arrested then that becomes a rallying cry,” said William Davison, an analyst based in Addis Ababa for the International Crisis Group.’
The International Crisis Group has some interesting board members, like the previously mentioned Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, as well as Alexander Downer, Federica Mogherini, George Soros, Alexander Soros, there are 47 of them in total…oh, and the Founder and Chairman Emeritus is Lord (Mark) Malloch-Brown…who is also President of Open Society Foundations (Soros), and was Chairman of vote rigging outfit Smartmatic until they got caught out in the US 2020 election.
Back to the Guardian article…
‘Abel Abate Demissie, an Addis Ababa-based analyst with London’s Chatham House, said Ethiopia’s political polarisation has deep roots, with structural problems that have been insufficiently addressed under Abiy: conflicting narratives about Ethiopia’s history, an unfinished federal project and tensions over the division of power between the centre and the regions.
“Two years down the line [after his appointment], and you find every major political group is disappointed with Abiy,” he said.’
Here’s a bit about Chatham House…
‘The Council on Foreign Relations is part of an international group of co-conspirators, that have been carrying out successful covert operations since the mid-1800’s. If the Council and its branch organizations weren’t so successful at divorcing themselves from their operations they would have been stopped long ago. The American Branch is the Council on Foreign Relations. The British Branch is the Royal Institute of International Affairs. They have a web site at:
https://www.chathamhouse.org/ ‘
Here’s the full article, which is really about the Council on Foreign Relations, but it does give a little insight into Chatham House. If you’re not familiar with the CFR…you should be!
Update: The day after I wrote this we have Deutsche Welle (Germany’s international broadcaster) reporting that the UN slams airstrike in Ethiopia that 'hit kindergarten.
‘Government forces accused of targeting civilian infrastructure.’
‘Addis Ababa said it was "targeting only military sites" and accused the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) — the militia that is at the heart of the bloody conflict and controls the region — of staging civilian deaths.’
Sound familiar? DW isn’t the only swamp news covering this story though…
Where has the UN outrage been for the last 8 years, while Ukrainian government forces were targeting civilian infrastructure in the Donbass, killing 14,000 in the process…including children??
I’ll be keeping an eye on this one to see what the swamp does next…
