Quick Hits: The X, Dead Flesh and Kyle Sevenoaks
Three new singles/videos from the above acts today for you to take a gander at!
The X have returned with their new track ‘Freak’.
Speaking about the new video, the band have said:
“Sometimes you just feel like an outsider, a misfit, a freak. We’ve all been there.
In times gone by, individuals that appeared in circus sideshows were called “freaks”.
So, given the current the status quo of our society, we’re basically all freaks!”
Dead Flesh doubleshot time now with the video for ‘Bodies Upon Bodies and behind the scenes footage! Their EP ‘Dehumanise’ is out April 28.

Fans of Cyberpunk 2077 (like myself) will enjoy the newest work from Kyle Sevenoaks titled You Are Not Gods:
The song is written from the perspective of an artist residing in Night City, outraged by the many perceived wrongdoings of the megacorporation’s, and those in charge of them. Drawing on the parallels between this fictional universe and what’s been happening in recent times in our own world, I channeled that outrage into the song.
“For the video I wanted to have a colorful look but channeled some of the 80s/90s horror aesthetics. Using split colors on my face and low angle shots, combined with filters and film emulation, I really love how the video looks and feels when combined with the song.”
Now, seeking to extend his impressive resume into the film industry, Sevenoaks’ is set to release his debut short film, the Evil Dead-inspired “Taste In Music” in June 2024.
