You look the *business*! đȘ
Hey peach,
Whatâs new with you? Causing lots of trouble and looking good doinâ it, I hope. On that note, I thought we might dip a toe into âglamour magickâ this month. Itâs more than lipstick and nail polish, so if you arenât immediately drawn to the idea, bear with. Iâd love the opportunity to surprise you đ
Whatâs glamour magick?
Glamour magick is the act of using physical signifiers to embody the archetype or persona youâd like to be perceived as.
When we meet people for the first time, especially in business, they build their first impressions on the physical signifiers we give them. So, why not take control of the narrative and get into costume?
Glamour magick can also give you a huge confidence boost. Taking the time to consciously plan your look and prepare yourself as part of a morning ritual can help you get into the zone and embody the persona you want to channel.
Here are some ways to bring glamour into your professional or personal lifeâŠ
Writerly glamour 101 đȘ
Tap into the power of scent association by choosing a fragrance to wear for pitches, meetings, or times when you need to channel free-flowing creativity.
Empower or enchant accessories for specific creative or business purposes. Imagine it: a watch that means business, a necklace for speaking up, earrings for better listening, or glasses that help you see between the lines. You get the picture!
Enchant your lip balms or lipsticks for the âgift of the gabâ.
Turn your morning routine into a ritual. Take that time to prepare for the day in a quiet and contemplative way.
Use colour magick to build outfits in hues that make you feel confident, creative and happy.
Dress for the job you want! Do you need to command the space with sharp tailoring and structured garments, forge kinship with a pop culture t-shirt, or dress to match your branding?
Use glamour as another form of creativity. Donât allow public opinion to get in the way, either â embody the vibe you love and find creative freedom in it (then take a pic and tag me because I need to see!).
Iâd recommend choosing your outfit the night before so you arenât rushed and scrabbling around in the morning. I also like to take photos of outfits that make me feel good/comfortable/creative, so Iâve got a bank of ideas stored away for the days âI have nothing to wear.'

đź Freelance focus: face your shadows with The Devil
This card may sound scary, but I find it one of the most helpful in the deck! The Devil represents our shadow selves and all the unhelpful habits and patterns we hold onto despite the damage they do. This begs the question: are you holding onto something you should release?
This is your sign to delve more deeply into your own shadowsâthrough journaling, therapy, tarot spreads, or chats with a trusted personâand use them for solid growth this year.
The Devil also signifies addiction â if youâre caught in a loop of choosing the path to instant gratification, it might be time to break the cycle (especially where social media is concerned!).
Let it go, babes. Ya donât need it!
