This month’s letter is inspired by two things covering the same topic.
The first is this lovely TikTok…
The second is the latest issue of Witchology magazine (shameless plug: I’m the music editor) and its theme of ‘offerings’.
Both kinda centre around the idea that creativity is a relationship. It needs a mix of give and take — you need to feed your creativity with offerings in order to take from its bucket. It can only bless you with ideas if you give it the fuel to thrive.
And that’s a very cool thought indeed.
So today, I’m going to shower you with ways to give offerings to your creativity in the hope that the relationship can become even more abundant.
As always, this is just a jumping-off point. Do whatever feels best to you — it’s your relationship, after all!

💐 Offerings to creativity ✨
Visit an art exhibition (I've got my eye on this one!).
Read something just for the hell of it. Bonus points for enjoyable trash.
Make or write something only for you, never to be shared. Feeling kinda extra? Write it, then destroy it in a devilishly inventive way. Leave no scrap remaining.
Create something without worrying about perfection.
Sit quietly in a park and enjoy the small, beautiful details.
Write a love letter to your creativity to reconnect with it.
Devour this most excellent mini workbook by Mac+Moore, plus a ton of other inspiring creatives.
By the light of a pink candle, make a list of promises to your creativity and then burn it to release the energy.
Try a form of creativity you’ve never done before (I’ve started sculpting — it’s deliciously messy).
Search for new creative people on social media and give them a follow to bless your timeline with sick ideas.
Wear that thing. You know the one – that garment you bought in a fit of excitement but have been too shy to wear.
Do a guided meditation (like this one) or freestyle and connect with a personification of your creativity.
Collate a playlist in honour of your creative spirit.
Make a creativity vision board to decorate your desk area (here’s mine).
