Unleash your inner werewolf ๐ŸŒ•๐Ÿบ

Howl, baby. Howl!

Aight, peach?!

Happy new (calendar) year. Hope you've been having a good one.

Tomorrow is the first full moon of 2024. Often called the 'wolf moon', January's full moon is a time of slow transformation. Like a werewolf, perhaps.

The plants are starting to wake up, and the days are beginning to unfurl, getting longer and brighter as they do. Full moons are typically a time when energy is at its peak, too.

TL;DR, you're at full energy, and the time for transformation is here. So...what are you going to do with that knowledge, friend?

Might be the perfect opportunity to look at your writing goals for 2024. How do you want your practice to transform?

Lemme give you some cute-ass journal prompts to help you muddle it all out. Bonus points if you do it under the light of the January full moon, with a purple candle burning, a glass of something delicious to hand, and the scent of palo santo heavy in the air.

1) What (specifically) do I want to improve in my writing practice this year?

2) Why do I want this for myself? How will it benefit me?

3) What 3 things can I do to move myself towards that goal?

4) How can I integrate these 3 things into my daily schedule to make them easier to achieve?

5) How can I tangibly measure my success?

6) How will I know when I've met the goal?

7) How will I celebrate my victory?

๐Ÿ”ฎ Freelance focus: balance with Temperance

I know it's the new year, and you're all fired up with lofty goals and hot ambition, but you need to calm your tits for a sec. You've pulled the Temperance card โ€” a sure sign that moderation, calm, and patience are needed for February.

When it comes to career goals, Temperance advises a slow, steady pace. Do a little bit every day, okay? You'll be less likely to burn out and give up when things don't instantly go your way.

Temperance is also a reminder to keep balance. This could relate to keeping a cool, rational head when emotions are running high or simply finding a balance between work and life or work-work and fun-work.

Slow (calm!) and steady wins the race in February, babe.
