How to choose a tarot or oracle deck for your writing practice.
We’ve discussed using cards for writing in this issue, and this one, and also this one.
But we’ve never really discussed how to choose a deck. So, this is that.
Just a reminder — you can use your tarot cards as a prompt for morning pages to help create customer or character archetypes, guide your freelance focus, and generate ideas.
They’re a fab tool for getting out of your head and into your creative zone. Ya don’t have to use them for divining the future or interpreting messages from the great beyond…but the option’s always there 💁♀️

Things to look out for
1) Card size: bigger cards are great for visual displays and large-handed folk, smaller cards are fab for on-the-go use and little-handed folk.
2) Thematic relevance: pick a theme you’re drawn to!
