I hope you're ready for things to heat up between us because I've got something steamy to share.
Simmer pots, babe. SIMMER POTS!
Simmer pots are big ole pots (or cauldrons) of simmering water filled with various herbs, fruits, flowers, moon water, and oils. You may also know them by their nickname, 'stovetop potpourri.'
These steamy 'lil cauldrons of intent are fab for so many reasons. For a start, they're an excellent way to use kitchen leftovers — apple cores and skins, orange peel, squeezed lemons, and the bedraggled fruits/herbs that didn't make it into your meal — can all go into the pot. I sometimes dry mine out in the oven and save 'em for future simmer pots.
Simmer pots are amazing for transforming the vibe of a space through scent. Plus, they'll make you feel like an olden-times conjurer as you toss ingredients into the roiling depths.
Seriously. Give it a try and tell me I'm wrong. Bonus points if you stir it with a big wooden spoon while cackling.

Inspiration attraction simmer pot
Ingredients
Orange peel (you can also use fresh orange slices)
x1 cinnamon stick
Small handful of fresh spearmint or peppermint leaves
x3 drops of bergamot essential oil
Small nub of ginger, sliced thinly (optional!)
Method
1) Bring a large pot of water to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Alternatively, you can use a crockpot — if you choose this method (I usually do!), throw your ingredients in, turn your pot to a 'low' setting and leave it for as long as you like.
2) Hold each ingredient in your hands and infuse it with your intention before tossing it into the pot. Ask it to help you find inspiration as it joins the mix and diffuses into the air.
3) Keep your pot simmering for as long as you'd like, topping up the water where needed. Don't forget to keep an eye on it if you aren't using a crockpot. We don't want any house fires!
And the magick doesn't end there, folks. You can bottle your simmer pot water and use it as an 'inspiration' room spray once it's cooled. Just make sure you use a dark glass spray bottle and label it with the date.
