I’ve got some bad news for you — if you don’t like cleaning or housework, ya might take a loathing to this issue of The Copy Coven!
November is the start of winter and the run up to Yule, which is up there with Mabon and Halloween as one of my favourite festivals.
Yule signifies the death of the sun, and house witches like myself like to use this time to ‘bank’ the fires and clean down the hearth. That is to say, get rid of your junk and clear out your space.
To get you ready for Yule, I wanted to take you through some of my favourite ways to cleanse and clear my workspace during the last two months of the calendar year. Hopefully you’ll want to give them a go!
Go through your physical swipe file, clear out bits you no longer want and photograph those you do for a digital file.
Go through all your notes, notebooks, and paperwork. Do you really need to hold onto all of it?
Do you have any client files that need destroying? Get that thing through the shredder and use the folder for new clients in 2023.
Cleanse your desk and office with white sage (this is my fave) or salt.
Assess your office and desk area — have you collected too many baubles or too much clutter over the year? Could you reorganise the space to allow for better energy flow?
Do you really need all those half finished notebooks and broken pens, babe? Might be time to slim down the collection and throw out the rubbish!

🔮 Freelance focus: releasing negativity with The Devil
As if on cue, The Devil card has reappeared in Freelance Focus. This card represents negative habits and thoughts; it’s a symbol of your shadow self. Pretty ironic considering we’re in the dark half of the year now!
Your freelance focus, should you choose to accept it, is to examine your mindset and release anything that doesn’t serve you.
