This month's newsletter is inspired by a candle I bought recently. Sounds lavish, I know, but it's library scented, and I saved for 4 months to get it.
Scents really help me set the mood before I sit down to write. I like to pick oils or incense to suit the vibe I need to channel for the day.
Need to feel grounded? Patchouli's the one. Want mental clarity? A dash of spearmint should do the trick.
So I thought I'd whip out another index for you (you can find historical indexes here and here), this time for scents. You can use it in a ton of different ways:
Decorate your desk area with herbs and flowers
Burn incense in a corresponding scent
Buy (or make?!) a scented candle to suit your daily work vibe
Pop essential oils in a burner or diffuser
Mix essential oils with a carrier and apply to pressure points with a roll-on applicator
...the list goes on!
If you're feeling super fancy, you can mix complimentary scents together to make a bespoke blend to fit the mood. It's whatever you want, mate!
