Back on track with pinball music

Dear pinball culture aficionados,

It is true! The Ball is Wild 🪩 is back from hibernation. To celebrate the occasion before the newsletter returns in about a week, I have quite an interesting in-deep treat for you: an interview with composer and experimental musician Suzana Lașcu. It’s about an improv album that she arranged and sound-collaged with two of her colleagues and which was recorded on top of field recordings created at Dutch Pinball Museum in Rotterdam during COVID.

For me, the wondrous, wonderful, unconventional and especially unexpected side of pinball culture is what excites me the most. Flipperen (name of the album) by Ilinx (name of the music trio) certainly hit all those boxes.

Talk to you soon in the upcoming newsletter.
