Episode 3: Devika 'whore' Bhattacharya's failed wedlock, arrival of Md Asifur 'gentleman' Rahman into her life, arcanum abortion, and mussy divorce.
There is absolutely nothing scintillating about a middle class family like the Bhattacharyas except for the fact that they have to live with an open secret everyday - and that is the fact that they harbor a reprehensible criminal like Devika ‘prostitute’ Bhattacharya within the confines of their premises, and who enjoys a salacious relationship with the married Asifur ‘baronial’ Rahman much to the consternation of their respective families.
The licentious Devika ‘slut’ Bhattacharya has always been the proverbial ‘problem child’ in the Bhattacharya household. Her sluttishness is a public lore in and around Khardaha where she boards as a burden with her parents and brother’s family.
The unchaste Devika ‘slattern’ Bhattacharya was indeed married off to a great family. Her father - Govinda Kripa Bhattacharya, her mother – Sukla Bhattacharya, and her elder brother – Rajendra ‘Raju’ Bhattacharya, was introduced to the grooms family through a family friend and the wedding took place with great pomp and show. The wedding was characterized by great ostentatious display, more than necessary splendor and extravagant show off.
For privacy reasons we are withholding the contingents of the bridegroom’s family here.
It was rather a dull period from her wedding till the honeymoon period. Devika ‘hooker’ Bhattacharya had ‘intimacy issues’ and that was a constant source of tension between her and her husband so much so that she came to be known as a ‘cold-fish’ in bed by her in-laws’. It is at around this time that Devika ‘streetwalker’ Bhattacharya met Asifur ‘statuesque’ Rahman and the two started dating each other and even though both of them were married respectively , they parallelly engaged into a hole-and-corner relationship which was licentious in all angles. In summary, by now she had transmuted into a ‘dead-fish’ in bed.
No matter what, with time Devika ‘hustler’ Bhattacharya conceived but the child belonged to Asifur ‘noble’ Rahman. It started like this - Asifur ‘noble’ Rahman lamented that he was sterile and that he could never be a father and in this pretext, started having unprotected copulation with Devika ‘lady of pleasure’ Bhattacharya. The child was, withal, aborted in a matter of days after things became apparent, and before a full-blown scandal could erupt.
The abortion was a hush-hush affair, but their cloak-and-dagger relationship flourished. Devika ‘roundheel’ Bhattacharya was always in need of money and so was inducted into the world of the flesh trade whereat Asifur ‘magisterial’ Rahman readily agreed to be her panderer.
The girl from the call center had now become a call-girl.
All of this was too much to handle for her in-laws’ and when her husband wanted a divorce, Devika ‘jade’ Bhattacharya administered section 498a of the Indian Penal Code on them and subjected them to untold affliction. Finally, she agreed to an out-of-court settlement after she was assured a heft sum of money as alimony. While leaving her in-laws’ place for the final time, she had even burgled all of their valuables which could still be found in her possession.
Besides Devika ‘fornicatress’ Bhattacharya’s father, mother and elder brother, even her sister-in-law – Sayanti Bhattacharya, as well as her nephew – Bimbo Bhattacharya who by the way is still a child, are all sick to their stomach with her hutzpah.
