Solstice Reflections & Mindful May Recap

As we move into June and the month of Summer Solstice, we move towards the longest day of the year (and the shortest night).

This can be seen as a time of abundance and celebration - things are coming into full bloom. It is also a tipping point in the year where we move slowly into the longer nights once more. With the coming darkness there is also the invitation to turn our attention inward once more.

With this duality of both celebration and a move towards introspection, my invitation this month is to engage in some reflection around what you want to celebrate about yourself, about what your first half of the year, about how you have been in the world. We might notice that the growing light has taken us away from that internal awareness that allows for giving ourselves credit and celebration.

And thinking of bringing more awareness, Mindful May has come to a close and there are four practices available to you for FREE to revisit at any time - see the links in the buttons below for these.

My invitation to you for this month...

Should you choose to accept it... comes in the form of prompts. These can be used for journaling or simply for reflection.

🌻 Where have I seen growth this year?
🌻 What am I grateful for in this season?
🌻 What do I need to support me blooming?

I would love to hear your reflections on these - please do feel free to share them with me directly or to come over to instagram and connect with the community - I will be sharing these prompts on there later in the month.

Self-Paced Summer Solstice Workshop
This is a work in progress but I am determined to get this sorted before Solstice. The self-paced format will mean that you can engage with the invitations in your own time and at your own pace. I will also be creating a space for optional sharing of reflections to connect with others too. Watch this space!

Body-Oriented Coaching - 2 spaces remaining
I am opening my books to take on just a few coaching clients. One space is already allocated but there are two spaces remaining. You can read more about the coaching here, if you are interested in one of the remaining spaces get in touch with me (you can reply to this or send me a separate email - [email protected])

FREE Nature Wellbeing Event
As part of my work as a member of the team with the brilliant EcoWisdom, I have also been undertaking their training and as the final part of training will be offering my own version of their 'Accessible Nature Wellbeing Programme' model. I plan to offer this later this month as a free offering to you all. I'll send the details through once they are finalised.
Updates from my Garden - No Mow May!

What a difference a No Mow May makes!! you can see from the photos below quite how different it's looking currently. Wonderfully wild and definitely more filled with little beings (Meli is regularly doing her little artic fox style jumping into the long grass as if she were a mighty hunter!)

I shared last month how I have felt inspired by the idea of No Mow May in terms of myself and my way of being. Where can I let go of some of the order and rigidity and invite a more natural, wild approach? I wonder if this resonates with you? You can click on the photo below to come to the post and discuss on instagram if you'd like!

Left image shows the garden with the grass cut short and the stepping stones clear, with Meli staring at the trellis fence. Right image is taken from lower angle and shows much taller grass and a wilder looking garden, with a glimpse of Meli amongst the grass at the back.
