Hi everyone,
Before we get into what's new this week, a quick note: we will be closing down classic.teamteacher.ai before the end of the year. π«Άπ»
Nothing you need to doβeverything's already on the new platform. But I wanted to take a moment to say thank you.
We launched the first TeamTeacher in April 2024. I was literally chasing colleagues down between classes for "show and tell" sessions. (You know who you are. Thank you for indulging me. π₯°) Your feedback, your patience with bugs, your willingness to try something newβthat's what made this possible.
Classic TT served us well. Time to let it rest. π±
What's New On The Insides
Two powerful new models are now available:
- Mistral 3 Large (released Dec 2) β Mistral's latest model with advanced reasoning and a 256k token context window, now available for everyone
- Opus 4.5 (subscribers) β Anthropic's most capable model released Nov 24, with reasoning that exceeds even Sonnet
Plus: PDF support for all Mistral models (subscribers) β upload and work with PDFs across Mistral's model family
We're also building more powerful knowledge base infrastructure behind the scenes. If you're interested in a specialized knowledge base for your curriculum or content area, reach out at services@teamteacher.ai.
Resource Round-Up
Two new #ThreePromptThursday guides are now available:
- Culturally Responsive Teaching: Indigenous Peoples Edition β Research and create culturally responsive lessons about Indigenous peoples with built-in verification guidance and tribal resource connections
- Sub Plans in Three Prompts β Generate clear, engaging substitute teacher plans in about 10 minutes
Humans In The Wild
Joe at The AI Summit NYC: Joe recently spoke at The AI Summit Series in New York about agent engineering, security, and privacyβand absolutely crushed it. Check out his post from the event if you want to see what he's been up to!
Maggie's CEESA Workshops: I'm presenting two sessions as part of CEESA's AI Leaders Seriesβand they're open to everyone, not just CEESA members!
I'm a graduate of the American School of Warsaw, and my high school years were full of CEESA sports tournaments and events. Getting to work with CEESA now feels very full circle. π
The full AI Leaders Series runs January through May with five sessions total (including three with Tricia Friedman on strategic planning, the M.U.S.H. framework, and parent partnerships). Register here or see the full lineup.
Would love to see you there!
Coming Soon: Multilingual Learners KB
We're building a new knowledge base with standards, frameworks, and curated resources for multilingual learner specialists.
Want early access? We need testers! If you're interested in trying it out and giving feedback, drop us a note at services@teamteacher.ai.
As always, hit reply if you have questions, ideas, or just want to share what's happening in your classroom. You're talking directly to the people building this.
Thank you and take care,
Maggie & Joe
