New Items in the Shop

I have been adding some new things in my shop, like this super comfy Skulls shirt! I’m very particular about comfort and softness in clothing. And this is a Bella + Canvas 3001, which meets my standards.

Also through Dec 31, this tote- called Paul’s Sign- will be available. If you’re from Shreveport and knew Paul, you might recognize this sign from his house. Paul was my grumpy old man neighbor and best friend, but you don’t have to know Paul to order the tote, it’s still funny!

I’ve always had some kind of aversion to holidays, so having a sarcastic Christmas theme- that also remembers grumpy Paul- is definitely my style. (I may or may not be working on an anti-Valentine’s Day project 👀)

I’ll likely release it again next year and maybe add a new product or design to the collection every year.

Next Limited Collection: OPIA

I’ll be releasing my next Limited Collection next month. If you’re new here, Limited Collections are themed collections available for a short period a few times per year. This season the theme is OPIA, which is the Taino word for our ancestor spirits. In this collection we’ll get a glimpse of the day to day activities our opia’no engage in parallel to us.

In preparation for the collection and to celebrate my birthday, I visited the Caguana Indigenous Ceremonial Site. And I wanted to share some of my favorite pieces from the museum with you, and you can see those in the video newsletter. Due to my timing and energy levels, I only visited the outdoor area leading up to the museum, and the museum itself. So there will be a part 2 of the outdoor ceremonial court area in the future!

The OPIA Collection will be available toward the middle of November into December, and I’ll be sending a few emails about it leading up to the release, so keep an eye out.

Custom GIF Giveaway ends October 31

I’m doing a giveaway for a custom GIF to help a Palestinian friend’s fundraiser. If you donate to her fundraiser and send me proof of donation then I’ll draw a name on October 31 and I’ll create a custom GIF for the winner! See this Instagram post for all the details and examples of the GIFs. You can find Leena’s fundraiser here.

Free Printable Calendars

Lastly, here is a link to a November calendar you can print at home!

This is something I’m going to do from now on as I make calendars for myself, and I thought it would be fun to send them out with the newsletter.
