May Newsletter
In this newsletter:
Free Wallpapers + An update to Ko-fi monthly mail 💌
Tea Party for ME/CFS ☕️
Belly’s 3rd birthday 🎂
As with everything in my life and business, I have to constantly assess my capacity and shift my activities to fit. I mentioned something about this in a previous newsletter, about needing to pause making monthly videos. I’m currently in a season where my physical capacity is quite limited, so I’ve made a few other shifts moving into June:
I’m not going to be doing monthly printable calendars. If this is something you realllllly love and use, let me know! But I am planning to release some full year calendars in the shop later this year, and I think the energy I use on printable calendars would be better directed to those.
Instead of offering printable calendars for signing up for the newsletter, I’m offering the 3 device wallpaper sets I gave Ko-fi supporters in this recent shop update, image below. So I want to give those to you too! You can download them here (it is a direct link, download will start when you click).
On Ko-fi, I’m going to shift from monthly mail to quarterly mail. You’ll still get the same amount of monthly art!! They’ll just be mailed every 3 months. And mailing quarterly actually makes it possible for me to finally be able to mail to Canada and other countries 🖤 If you’re a Monthly Supporter right now, May’s art will go out next month with June’s mail, including my Canadian friends! (The next mail everyone can expect will be 3-4 pieces of art in September. I am also aware of the Canadian Postal Strike and am in total support! Depending on how things go, we may adjust as needed.)
Shifting these things will also give me a little space to work on a long term project that I’ve been slowly planning for a couple years that is now coming to the surface. I’ll be sharing the progress of it on Ko-fi. More details about that soon!

Tea Party for M.E. Print & Greeting Cards
This month was the annual international ME/CFS Awareness Day and #MillionsMissing protests at the US capitol hosted by MEaction. In conjunction, there was also an annual event called Blue Sunday or Tea Party for M.E. You can read the founder, Anna Redshaw, talk about it here. But the premise is having an in-person, virtual, or solo tea party and donating to an ME/CFS organization.
I’ve released a print and a pack of greeting cards called Tea Party 2025 with proceeds of both going to Open Medicine Foundation who does incredible research on ME/CFS.
The print is 12"x16" in a dark pine wooden frame with shatterproof plexiglass. The print itself is 80lb semi-gloss paper.

The greeting cards are blank with no other messaging, so you can use them for any purpose OR you can frame them as lil mini art prints (something I've always done to decorate my home). They are not a standard frame size, but you can put them in a bigger frame with a mat. They come with white envelopes.

Proceeds from my Chronic Cards series going to MEaction, so you can now buy a Set of 3 Greeting Card packs with both of these series and contribute to both organizations at the same time!
Being able to have some proceeds of my work going to organizations I trust and know are so important like OMF and MEaction is really meaningful to me. Because of my health- because of ME/CFS especially- I am not able to do much volunteering or protesting or even attend virtual events very often. I’m just finding a way to contribute in my own style and capacity.
Belly’s 3rd Birthday
My sweet Bellygirl is 3 years old this week!!! So I’m going to gush over her a bit. She is unlike any cat I’ve ever lived with.
She’s incredibly observant, likes to study things but not fuck with them. She loves smelling all kinds of people food but doesn’t like eating any of them (except for tuna or shredded cheese as an occasional treat!).

She teaches me games to play with her, most of which involve catch/fetch/jump but all have slightly different rules. When I can’t figure out what the new game is, she’s patient with me while I figure them out.
She’s so emotionally attuned and polite. Like me, she’s very sensitive to sound. But she’s starting to bravely confront her fear of thunder. She’s so chatty and smart and funny, I’m honestly surprised she doesn’t know how to read.
What books do you think she’d read if she could?
Happy Birthday Pixú aka Belly!!! If you’d like to send her some new toys and treats and get some art in return, you can throw some birthday dollars to Ko-fi 💸

Things I’ve been enjoying this month:
RFK Jr: Head of Health and Human Sewage Josh Johnson is from my neck of the woods in Louisiana, and I’m so proud of him. He’s such a thoughtful and funny comedian.
Prison Journalism Project PJP trains incarcerated people in writing and journalism and provides a platform for them to tell their stories.
