A TGT that wasn’t obvious when I started looking for potential subjects, but it was an interesting note that Stone & Jones shared a date of birth, then that they’d worked together on JFK. But this didn’t seem like a particularly interesting hook until I read how the film had pressured President G.H.W. Bush to change the law. The impact of art and good story-telling!

You could discuss Hollywood legends, film making and how much artistic license film makers have when basing films on real events and where else artists have pressurised political decisions. You could discuss whether government should ever be completely open. Or discuss shared birthdays and the Birthday Paradox; with a class of 30, there’s a 70% chance two students in your class share a birthday!
