Pan in Washington, DC
A Coming Tidal Wave
Pan came in another one of my dreams not too long ago.
In the dream, I was in Washington DC to visit an old lover I had not seen in quite some time.
I was in no better shape than Pan in my Syringa and Pan story, completely heartbroken with unrequited love.
I was not with this man in the dream. I was aimlessly wandering the streets.
Pan came up to me with his ally and helper, similar to Syringa in my Pan Story,, and Goddess Venus in 'My First Dream About Pan', but this time it was the actress Ally Sheedy with her hair cut very short. She also had a beard, so maybe it was not Ally Sheedy but her twin. Or it was Ally Sheedy with a bleed-through of her twin. Or, more helpfully, perhaps Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa might hold some clues for me, finally healing my animus and anima energies.
Maybe the good news is my twin towers Ida and Pingala (representing Shiva and Shakti, or primary duality) are starting to merge into Sushumna (inner balance and harmony). However, maybe the bleed-through shows I am not quite there yet (see here to learn more of Ida, Pingala and Sushumna). Fortunately, I had the resurrected Pan in my dream to help me along. He asked me to make him a logo for his new business in Lake Tahoe. I have still not figured out that symbolism other than my Sun and Neptune energies are strong in that part of the US. I am sure one of these days, the symbolism will become clearer. It usually does eventually. None of my dreams are isolated stories. My dreams weave together over time like a story that never ends. The meaning to me shifts and changes, as I gather more information and heal hurtful old wounds.
In the next scene, an event planner came along and said that he was there to guide me. I saw a big tidal wave coming toward me and I was terrified. The event planner instructed me I had no choice to walk right through it. I did as I was told as nothing seemed worse to me at the time than dealing with my own broken heart.
I eventually walked out of the water and to a beautiful beach and there was a beautiful cottage with my event planner standing on the steps waiting to greet me.
Last night, in my dream, I learned Lady Venus or Sun Woman represents the energy of community development. Inner harmony eventually means more outer harmony. For a misfit toy like me, that is a welcome revelation. I have always been a loner. I have always felt somewhat off, like I am somehow on the wrong planet. Similar to Pan, however, the woods have always provided me with grounding, relief, and healing. Is Sun Woman my version of Syringa?
