Vermin! A Poetry Read-a-Long with Su Penn

On a pink background, a darker red illustration of a rat, seem from the side, invites you to join a Poetry Read-a-Long whose theme is vermin. The complete text on the graphic appears below as the body of this email.

I recently told my workshop participants and mailing list members that I’d bring back the Poetry Read-a-longs if someone suggested a theme. Someone happily did: VERMIN.

In poems spanning five centuries, we will see vermin used as a poetic tool for seduction; poetry written by imaginary vermin, and read an admiring ode to weevils and termites. Nothing icky! These are nice poems. As always, participants will receive a nice pdf of the poetry to keep as their own.

Sunday, February 25, 8pm eastern/7pm central via Zoom: tinyurl.com/poetrywithsu

A small but very satisfied group usually attend the Poetry Read-a-Longs. I hope you consider joining us.

And if there's a topic you'd like to suggest, please let me know. Challenge me with something impossible! Throw anything at me, and I promise I can make it good.
