In Person Salon on Monday, October 07!
This month's In Person Salon is tonight, Monday October 07. and, in the old CPW building at 474 Broadway.
Experimentation with iPhone Camera Processing Apps
I have been playing around with in phone processing with interesting results. My process is generally the Hallide camera app, Lightroom initial processing and then Snapseed.
Here are a few images:
I find Snapseed can be a little buggy, especially with RAW files which it says it can process. But the ease of applying effects, in this case vintage effect filters, can't be beat.
Monthly Photography Salon
I co-moderate two monthly photography Salons through the Center for Photography at Woodstock, which is now actually in Kingston, NY.
In Person Salon

Every second Tuesday of the month there is an in person salon at 7 PM at 474 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Photographers are encouraged to bring up to 15 prints of their work. We are especially interested in providing feedback to photographers working on a project or submission. The atmosphere is informal and supportive, with work being reacted to and discussed by the photographers present.
Virtual Salon

Every fourth Tuesday of the month there is a virtual salon. Photographers are encouraged to upload files of their work. We recommend a jpeg format of 2000 pixels on the longest side, and maximum of 144 pixels per inch. Use highest quality jpeg setting. Files should be named with the first and last name of the photographer and should be numbered in the order in which the photographer would like them to appear. So, First Name_Last Name_01, would be the preferred format. We are especially interested in providing feedback to photographers working on a project or submission. The atmosphere is informal and supportive, with work being reacted to and discussed by the photographers present.
