Monthly Photography Salon
I co-moderate two monthly photography Salons through the Center for Photography at Woodstock, which is now actually in Kingston, NY.
In Person Salon
Co Moderator, Steven Parisi-Gentile
Every second Tuesday of the month there is an in person salon at 7 PM at 474 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Photographers are encouraged to bring up to 15 prints of their work. We are especially interested in providing feedback to photographers working on a project or submission. The atmosphere is informal and supportive, with work being reacted to and discussed by the photographers present.
Virtual Salon
Co-moderator, Deena Feinberg
Every fourth Tuesday of the month there is a virtual salon. Photographers are encouraged to upload files of their work. We recommend a jpeg format of 2000 pixels on the longest side, and maximum of 144 pixels per inch. Use highest quality jpeg setting. Files should be named with the first and last name of the photographer and should be numbered in the order in which the photographer would like them to appear. So, First Name_Last Name_01, would be the preferred format. We are especially interested in providing feedback to photographers working on a project or submission. The atmosphere is informal and supportive, with work being reacted to and discussed by the photographers present.
Files can be uploaded here.

TrainPan Matrix…**
Something a bit different.
Most of my current work deals with the compression of time and space interpreted by an ‘algorithmic vision’. The Clipping series presents moments plucked from the endless panorama unfurling beyond a train’s window. TrainPan Matrix works take a step back to consider a wider perspective, an accumulated memory over many trips along the same path. Thousands of images compiled sequentially over days encompass the breadth of experience over an extended space as opposed to a brief momentary impression.
