Stoneshore: October 2023 update
It hasn’t been long since my September update, but I’ve got lots of fresh news from the past week or so that I’d love to share!
The Halloween Spooktacular bundle is live! You can pick up my new action horror game SUBSURFACE along with 8 other games from some stupendously talented members of the indie tabletop RPG community. Hang out with vampires and werewolves, explore catacombs and haunted highlands, solve mysteries and get up to halloween hijinks! The bundle is available throughout October.
Bar the Windows, Bolt the Doors update
I’ve made a small update to Bar the Windows, Bolt the Doors to adjust movement rules and to add bookmarks to the PDF to help with easy navigation. I’ve also added a small bonus ruleset called 72 horrid rooms, which provides a roll table to generate random descriptive prompts when you enter new rooms.
Halloween sale
I’ve put Bar the Windows, its winter-themed expansion Blood Yule, and last year’s halloween release, forum.crypt, on a 25% off sale for the remainder of October. You can check out the sale here.
Spotlight
Here’s a couple of cool things I’ve come across recently in the indie tabletop sphere.
I recently picked up Masters of Mind Chess, a 16-page micro RPG about duelling masterminds, in the vein of Death Note. I absolutely adore the premise of this game, and the art is absolutely fantastic - it has the same retro psychedelic vibe as the legendary unfinished animated film The Thief and the Cobbler.
gothHoblin has recently released the first issue of their grimoire: a thematic tabletop RPG zine. Issue 1: Gothic is packed full of resources for bringing the gothic to any system. It’s a brilliant idea and the execution is excellent.
Thanks for reading, and see you all next update.
