A Merry Marvel Christmas

I just realized my last newsletter before falling off the face of the earth was titled, “Well, it’s over.” That just referred to New Champions ending, not, you know, everything, but it has been A Year, for sure.

Anyway, I’m still crunching quite hard to earn a holiday respite. It’s looking like I’ll be pulling a Bob Cratchit on Christmas Eve, at least. But before everyone breaks out the cookie plates for Santa (or kicks back to enjoy nondenominational winter downtime), I wanted to reactive this dormant missive to share one of my favorite projects of the year—a seasonally appropriate one, at that:

That’s right—yours truly scripted A Merry Marvel Christmas, a nearly 20-minute, fully voice-acted take on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol starring Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Avengers, and some fun Marvel cameos. If you’ve got young ones at home—or if you’re just a nerd with about half an hour to spare—watch Tony relearn the Christmas spirit in Mighty Marvel fashion.

This is one of several projects I’ve gotten to do with Marvel HQ over at YouTube, and I’m blown away every time at the level of detail they bring to these animations. Huge, HUGE thanks to Zoe, Brigita, Christina, and everyone else on the team for asking me back to write these, and to all of the talented animators, voice actors, and production staff who bring them to life.

Anyway, I’ve got deadlines to hit before I can even think of peeking into any stockings.

Merry X-Mas!
