Trenton back at it
happy monday every pony! its your boy trentony pepperoni here! i am so proud of all of you because we have successfully gone through a full curcuit of the new and improved 10mvc email blast. you have all done amazing and i am very happy to read writing from a friend on the least epic day of the week, monday. where is my damn lasagna
it has been a wild week to say the least. young man Zach has finally hit the age he has been waiting 21 years for, 21. it will be a very fun 365 days for him as he can now say his age in a funny voice. after that he will be 22, and not long after that, he will be 23. aging is cool. to celebrate his newfound age, me jacob and tyler went to alex diaz’s pool party where we pet a good dog, swam in pants, drank Hot Beer, a specialty beer you keep in the hot tub, and i single handedly stopped andrew wain from having sex. kaden has been enjoying biking to work because his lungs were feeling too good and wanted to inhale the fumes from our entire country being on fire. alex had a hot date, but then cancelled because he realized no girls love can compare to the pure hearted energy he gains from his boys back home. ben has been setting up lots of sound things outside and making that sweet guap he will use to buy a lot of pasta. eamon has been doing his thing, doing some yard work like the big strong man he is. he also got a very cool album by his mom, a band he and georgia love very much. great week everyone.
now time for everyones least favorite part of my blast, 10MVC Turnton Talks About A Band He Likes. to celebrate their new visual album Tangerine Reef, which is an hour long movie of close ups of coral while ambient music plays, i will be talking about the pretencious fukk “pop” band, Animal Collective.
Animal Collective is a art pop/freak folk/electroacoustic ambient band that sounds like they would be from seattle but they are actually from baltimore. contrary to popular belief, they are not a band of animals at all, but human men. the band is composed of avey tare, a weird guy who likes to play guitar and yell sometimes, panda bear (who is not really a bear, but, yet again, a human man) deakin, who is much better at guitar than avey and this makes avey nervous so he doesnt let him participate in some albums, and geologist, which is a weird name because they dont make rock music haha. the band started when avey asked panda to help him make some weird ambient/noise music in like the late 90s i think. they then recruited deakin and rock doc. their style began to develop into actually good music when avey realized panda is actually a good artist. thanks to panda bear, Animal Collective now sounds how the beach boys would have sounded if brian wilson never stopped hanging out with charles manson. who wants me to list off my favorite albums? ok i am going to list off my favorite albums.
Merriweather Post Pavillion (2009) holy fuckin moly i cant explain how god damn tight this album is. it has two of their most popular and well received singled, Summertime Clothes (which was on Skate 3 so you know its good) and My Girls. some fans may claim this album is overhyped but its my personal favorite. very interesting electronic psych pop production across this thing and some extremely catchy vocal melodies. other favorite songs from this album are Daily Routine, Bluish, Lion In A Coma, and Brother sport. shits good
Sung Tongs (2004) the boys got two guitars and a single floor tom and they pop off. there are a couple trash ass tracks on here (im looking at you, Visiting Friends, fucking wack ass 12 minute long boring bitch) its made up with the short and sweet songs like Sweet Road and College. my fav songs on this album are Leaf House, Who Could Win A Rabbit (which may be the most perfect song ever made), Kids On Holiday, and We Tigers.
Strawberry Jam (2007) their first dead ass pop album. this shit goes hard as hell. some complaints about this album are that the instrumentals tend to be a lil repetative but i love that kinda thing.(its called a vibe honey, maybe u have heard of it) lots of the songs are sung from the perspective of a child, or at the very least has very innocent themes such as growing up and becoming jack the ripper. not a perfect album but it is fun. best songs are peacebone, fireworks, and for reverand green.
thank you for listening to my ted talk i am sorry zach but i had no idea what to get you for your birthday. i am bad at gifts but i made you something very special.
i now present zacurry burgermeme. happy monday everyone
