9/21 Democratic Women of Stanly County Meet
The Democratic Women of Stanly County will meet Thursday, September 21st at Jay's Downtowner Restaurant at 1230 East Main Street in Albemarle with dinner at 5:30 pm and the meeting at 6:00 pm. Georgette Edgeton, retired educator of Stanly County, will be the speaker. Please bring a friend!
9/22-9/23 Democratic Women of NC Convene
The 63rd Annual Convention of the Democratic Women of North Carolina will be held in Charlotte on September 22nd-23rd.
Special guests include Secretary of State Elaine Marshall, NC Senator Rachel Hunter, Congressman Jeff Jackson, Justice Anita Earls, Justice Allison Riggs, Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles, Charlotte Councilman Braxton Winston, and NC Democratic Party 2nd Vice-Chair Kimberly Hardy.

10/1 "Walk Around Stanly County" Gather
Stanly County has an estimated population of 64,000+ and within its 400+ square miles, there are ten municipalities: Albemarle, Badin, Locust, Misenheimer, New London, Norwood, Oakwood, Red Cross, Richfield, and Stanfield.
Lydia Light invites you to "Walk Around Stanly County" the first Sunday of each month over the next 10 months to visit each municipality and connect with each other.
Beginning on Sunday, October 1st, this new outreach program will gather at 3 p.m. outside the Stanly County History Center at 157 North Second Street in Albemarle to walk around and learn about the City of Albemarle.
This outreach program is supported by the Democratic Women of Stanly County.
10/2023 Stanly BOE Visits High Schools
The Stanly County Board of Elections will visit local high schools during lunch in September and October to promote the 2024 Student Assistant and Student Ambassador programs.
