Dear Member,
As one of our founding fathers, Thomas Paine said on December 23, 1776, “These are the times that try men’s souls.” Sadly, today we continue to face threats to our democracy and freedoms.
The people of North Carolina have the chance to determine the balance of power in North Carolina and Washington DC with the selection of a Governor and President in 2024. With your help - every call, text, and door knocked is critical in reaching voters of Stanly County - as we rise to the challenge of defending our democracy.
Being a member of the Democratic Women of Stanly County will give you a voice in helping to promote free and fair elections in our Democracy. You can send your 2023-2024 membership dues ($20) with the form below to our Treasurer or wait until our September meeting. We look forward to your membership, your ideas, and your participation!
Our next meeting is Thursday, September 21st at Jay’s Downtowner on East Main Street in Albemarle with dinner at 5:30 pm and a program at 6:00 pm. Our monthly meetings include a featured speaker, the business of the day, and sharing of ideas.
We look forward to your presence at the September meeting as we offer support to our officers and work together in 2023-2024 to strengthen our party in Stanly County.
