November 16 - Democratic Women Gathered Together
The Democratic Women of Stanly County gathered together on Thursday, November 16th at Jay's Downtowner Restaurant in Albemarle.
Barbara Tuset discussed ways that the Democratic Women and Democratic Party communicate through the Democratic Party website (https://stanlydemocrats.org/), Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/StanlyDemocrats), email newsletter (https://buttondown.email/Stanlydemocrats) and outreach programs.
The executive committee are busy planning new and exciting events for 2024!
December 3 - "Walk Around Stanly County" Cancelled
The "Walk Around Stanly County" on Sunday, December 3rd was cancelled due to inclement weather.
December 4 - State & County Candidate Filing Begins
Candidate filing for 2024 state and county offices will be accepted at the Stanly County Board of Elections from Monday, December 4th at Noon to Friday, December 15th at Noon.
As of December 10th, there were no Democratic filings for our county offices for the March 5th primary elections. Please contact Daniel Quick, Stanly County Democratic Chair at daniel@stanlydemocrats.org if you are interested in filing for a position.

December 21 - Democratic Women Will Meet
The Democratic Women of Stanly County will meet for a holiday gathering on Thursday, December 21st at Jay's Downtowner Restaurant (1230 East Main Street, Albemarle) with dinner at 5:30 pm and the meeting at 6:00 p.m. Please bring a friend and a dessert to share!
The Stanly County Democratic Party and the Democratic Women of Stanly County will have their 2023-2024 fundraising t-shirts available for purchase at the meeting on December 21st. They are original designs that would make excellent gifts for Christmas!
January 7 - "Walk Around Stanly County" Will Gather
Please join Lydia Light at Locust City Park on our next "Walk Around Stanly County" on Sunday, January 7th at 3:00 p.m.
We will spend time learning about the history of Locust and as we walk, we invite you to engage in stimulating conversation while building community and providing space for sharing diverse viewpoints on some of societies' most pressing issues.
All are welcome and we encourage you to invite friends from all areas of the political spectrum who are interested in respectful discourse.
This outreach program is supported by the Democratic Women of Stanly County.
