TESTIMONIALS

WHAT YOU'RE SAYING "I was told about Speedy Metals about three weeks ago and I have gone there twice for my metal needs. I read the reviews on this place and most of them were good and they are very well deserved. I am on crutches and they bent over backwards to help me. They are very nice and kind and the people there get you in and out fast. I am going there from now on and recommending them to all of my friends; they are GREAT!!!!!!!!"

DID YOU KNOW?

DID YOU KNOW...? ...that researchers have developed an even-more corrosion resistant stainless steel?

Scientists have been searching for a green way to produce hydrogen from seawater. However, until now, no type of stainless steel has been sufficiently resistant to corrosion to use for structural parts. Instead, those parts have had to be manufactured from titanium coated in gold or plantinum, making the equipment prohibitively expensive. Now, however, researchers from the University of Hong Kong have developed a process called "sequential dual-passivation" that uses manganese to create an additional layer of corrosion protection on the steel.
