CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT... This month we're featuring customer Mark Amundsen's modified 1969 Craftsman belt sander that he has dubbed "The Ripper"
He says:"Here we have a 1969 Craftsman belt sander on steroids! Now a Belt Grinder. Took this belt sander, built a new, taller stand out of angle iron and 1" sq tube. got rid of the 3/4 HP motor and upgraded it to 3HP, upgraded and balanced the drums, changed the pulley ratio to increase the surface feet per minute from 2200 to 5000, gave it a fresh paint job, now it Rips! Pneumatic casters built from DOM tube and delrin; shop space is limited so machines need to be on wheels. Apply air it rolls, remove air it is stationary."
