Priest-Queen follows Elsyn, new queen who did not ever expect to queen, and furthermore had been given to the temple as a novice as a child and therefore not at all trained to be queen. The goblin kingdom in the mountains-just-to-the-left sends an ambassadorial party led by Kandar, the goblin prince, who promptly falls in love with Elsyn and accepts her charge to go fetch her childhood best friend Ben from exile. This turns slightly more complicated when Kandar discovers Ben is 1. in hiding in a secret goblin village 2. super great. SHENANIGANS ENSUE.

a REMINDER: my queer book giveaway this month is for Felicia Davin’s The Scandalous Letters of V & J, an incredibly inventive and inventively queer epistolary romance about two magicworkers in 1820s Paris thwarting an ancient evildoer.
