Hello, from the heat cauldron of central Japan. It is sooo hot. But if you read Rucking in Japan's Summer Heat you'll see how I've actually learnt to appreciate it more, because there's nothing I can do to change it anyway.

I've purposely been quiet online in recent months because, like a lot of people, the digital noise is sometimes overwhelming. I wrote about it in the Naoki Ishikawa v the Feed post.

I've also been learning Claude Code. I know zilch about coding but have somehow managed to build my own RAW editor from scratch, one I can use to edit files on the go. I'm trying to get away from Capture One. We are living in insane times.

The Tour de France is on, which has been eating my evenings, and England really should have beaten Argentina in the World Cup.

Anyway, before I shoot off with my daughter for our annual UK trip (students and wife joining mid-August this year) here are a few (but not all) recent posts:
