Whiskey Soda

This is the second chapter of Perfect Manhattan, a serialized novel in progress.

Goblet of whiskey and soda with ice at Donahue's Bar, New York City
(I swear there was a splash of soda in this glass! It’s one of my last orders at Donahue’s earlier this year.)

And for my next trick, below is Perfect Manhattan, Chapter Two!

I’m excited there are so many new readers! Thank you for subscribing and believing in this work.

For anyone in need of a refresher, Perfect Manhattan is an original novel in progress. In case you missed it, you can catch up on the backstory and synopsis here.

If you missed the first chapter, you can read it here.

As I mentioned last week, the main character, and all characters, places, and events in this book are made up. Any references to real people and places (and drinks!) are fictionally represented but intentionally recognizable.

Chapter Two: Whiskey Soda

Rosalie’s is not a destination for wine. They have wine, but, from Eve’s point of view, nothing worth the calories. It’s also no place for cocktails unless it’s old school Irish coffee (they do it properly with a shot of whiskey, hand-whipped cream, and sugar) or spirit mixed with something out of the soda gun. Although that’s all Rosalie’s needs to be.
