One Day My Log Will Have Something To Say About This
Scheduling TWIN PEAKS viewings fed some of my first creative routines
“Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.” ~Agent Dale Cooper
I don’t often suffer from writer’s block but I have been lately.
Eight years ago to this day I had no choice but to write. A lot. Fast. I had just signed the contract for New York Cocktails when Hell Toupée was inaugurated the first time. My publisher was well aware that they were aiming for a fall release and this book would be heavy on design elements—so why did they bring the author in with only weeks to spare before a hard print deadline? But that’s how it often works in this industry with contract work and no agency liaison.
