For my second Schustack playlist, I’m still going with a water theme. But this time, the song cycle pays tribute to good riddance and new beginnings. 

Not because of a guy, or a job, but because this week, I was finally able to break up with my hideous 1970s bathtub door and put up a curtain rod. 

I’ve lived in my not-quite-officially rent stabilized Cobble Hill apartment for more than 17 years. When I first saw the place, that clunky, dingy sliding door with its outdated beveled glass and fussy track system was almost the deal breaker. I asked my landlord, Andy, if he could possibly get rid of it before I moved in.
