Today's Joke

The President sat down with his cabinet to discuss a proposal from the prime minister of Israel.

"The prime minister wants to challenge you to a game of golf to show the friendship between America and Israel,” one of the members of the cabinet said.

The President thought this was a good idea, but he had never held a golf club in his hand. "Do we have someone to represent me?" he asked.

"None that plays very well," a member replied. "But," he added, "there is a man named Jack Nicklaus, an American golfer. We can offer to dress him as the President, then ask him to play against the prime minister as your personal representative. In addition, to showing our spirit of cooperation, we'll also win the match."

Everyone agreed it was a good idea. The call was made. Of course, Nicklaus was honored and agreed to play. The day after the match, Nicklaus reported to the President the results. "I have some good news and some bad news,," said the golfer.

"Tell me the good news first, Nicklaus," said the President.

"Well, I don't like to brag, but even though I've played some pretty terrific rounds of golf in my life, this was the best I’ve ever played, by far. I must've been inspired from above. My drives were long and true, and my putting was absolutely perfect. With all due respect, my play was truly miraculous."

"And there's bad news?", the President asked.

"Yes," Nicklaus sighed. "I lost to Prime Minister Tiger Woods by three strokes."

Today’s joke was taken from Aish.com.

Note: Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods is an American professional golfer. He is tied for first in PGA Tour wins, ranks second in men's major championships, and holds numerous golf records. Woods is widely regarded as one of the greatest golfers of all time and is one of the most famous athletes in modern history.
