Huzzah, Here's my newsletter!
HELLO AND WELCOME TO DISPATCHES AND DINOSAURS!
It’s great to fill you in on a bit of what’s going on with me while I am impatiently awaiting the end of winter. This being the month when lots of people turn to flowers to express their feelings for others or simply to savor some beauty, here is an arrangement I put together a couple of weeks ago.
I thought I needed it to lift my spirits, but then I got the word that my novelette, “The Next Frontier” is an Analog Magazine Readers’ Award Finalist! I couldn’t be happier. In case you missed it, you can read it right here for a limited time. You can also check out some other great stories that were nominated by astute Analog readers.
If that wasn’t enough, I’ve been invited to appear on a couple of YouTube panel discussions on March 1. One is about putting archaeology and paleontology into fiction. The other is about intellectual property. Stay tuned!
“But wait,” I hear you protesting, “I was promised dinosaurs.” Indeed you were. So, pop quiz (no fair asking a nearby six-year-old!): Can you name my dinosaur friend above? Bonus points if you know what’s extraordinary about the horn on its head.
Until next time…
Rosemary
