Roguelike Celebration 2026: Call for Proposals Now Open!

Deep in the dungeon, we stumbled across a secret passage and a hidden treasure chest. We opened it up to find a magical unidentified talk. Perhaps you could help us identify it?

Roguelike Celebration 2026 will be taking place October 17th and 18th. We can't wait to open our MUDdy doors to everyone this fall, but first we need to find this year's speakers.

Our conference is only as good as our speakers and presenters, and every year we have the fortune to welcome creative and passionate individuals onto our virtual stage. The call for presenters is now open. Submissions will be open until Sunday, June 28th. Submit a talk. Submit more than one - we welcome multiple submissions. Pass on this email to a friend or colleague you think would have something compelling to share.

We accept talks covering everything from roguelike history, procedural generation techniques, design retrospectives, and even live theater and music performance. Esoteric game development techniques? You betcha. Procedurally-generated comedy? Absolutely. Evolutionary algorithms gone astray? Love those weird little guys. Previous speakers have come from all walks of life and from all different backgrounds.

If you've never submitted a proposal before, our website has some tips and tricks for writing a great proposal and an example of an accepted submission. If you'd like help focusing or refining your proposal, let us know and we can help make sure the talk will fit our community. If you have questions about your proposal or our process, please reach out to us at contact@roguelike.club.

Looking forward to another great year,

The Roguelike Celebration Organizing Team
