Roguelike Celebration 2025 - Casual March Event!
🌳 Roguelike Celebration Meetup at GDC! 🌳
In 2023, we had a casual meet up timed to before the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco. It was a hit, and we’ve pulled together for another run of it!
This is a casual hangout with no formal schedule, for folks with a shared appreciation for all things roguelike and procedural to catch up and have friendly conversations. It is entirely outdoors, with no GDC badge required, and enough room to social distance according to individual comfort levels.

When: 12:30 - 2:30 PM, Tuesday March 18
Where: Yerba Buena Gardens
Who: Fans, players, developers, scholars, and everyone else! No GDC badge required!
What: Casual conversations and snacks - feel free to bring your own! Bring blankets & jackets to sit on and keep warm if you want!
Health & safety: This event is outdoor, rain or shine. We don't have the means to verify vaccination and COVID testing status, but ask you to keep others in mind and stay home if you feel unwell or think you may have been in contact with someone with COVID. Masking and social distancing is encouraged during the event.

We won’t require RSVPs for this event, but we know there will be many game dev groups meeting throughout Yerba Buena during the week. We’ll try to post on our Bluesky when we’ve picked a spot to hang out with our fellow rogues.
