In the News

Cancellations across all Saudi airports reached 46.4%, according to aviation data firm Cirium. Etihad and Qatar Airways suspended flights to several Saudi cities.
Houthis warn Washington. A Houthi official warned of a "swift and painful" response if the US joins Saudi Arabia's strikes on the group in Yemen, CBS News reported. President Trump said over the weekend the US may join those strikes. The Houthis said late Monday they fired a ballistic missile at Riyadh's airport, and Saudi Arabia said it intercepted one.
Japan producer prices slow. Japan's producer prices rose 6.8% in September from a year earlier, down from 7.6% in August. Economists had expected the rate to hold at 7.6%. Slower price gains at the factory level ease pressure on the Bank of Japan to raise rates quickly, XTB analysts said.
RBA minutes favor tight policy. Minutes of the Reserve Bank of Australia's latest meeting stressed the need to hold down domestic demand for longer to bring inflation under control. National Australia Bank's business confidence index fell to -13 in September from -9 in August.
HSBC downgrades Adobe. HSBC cut Adobe (ADBE) to Hold from Buy and lowered its price target to $267 from $310. The bank cited reports that a company called ArtCraft released a free, open-source program that copies Creative Cloud tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Adobe shares fall 0.69% before the open.

The 10-year yield closed Friday at 5.24%. Over the past 20 sessions it ranged from 4.94% to 5.31%.

The 2-year yield, which moves most with Fed expectations, closed Friday at 4.80%. Its 20-session range runs from 4.65% to 4.92%. A drop below 4.65% would signal that traders are pricing fewer rate increases.
