Windows closed, heat's up

Hello, Readers All,

Third week of September and third week of Our Hours. So far, my partner and I have managed to each write a new story for 20 days in a row that go along with the collages he created in August. Plus I'm still getting some essays written. Nice to know we've got it in us, hmm?

Isn't it generous of the city to keep giving me ideas for essays? Case in point:

How I’m more free and secure in the city

As we maintain our daily pace on these new stories, it's occurred to me that I guess I can write fiction after all. Yes, alert the media!

Because I’m going to keep writing it regardless

And what week would be complete without at least one good current events-based rant? You're welcome.

Beach Party Epiphany

I read this week that Buttondown, the newsletter company that does such a great job on my weekly newsletter, is basically a one-man operation. When I reach out for support, it's Justin the guy who designed and created Buttondown who responds. That means the guy is busy AF and that explains why - again last week - the Ko-fi link looked broken. Thank you to those intrepid readers who took a chance and clicked on the link! Let's cross our fingers and see what happens this week. If it still looks broken, give it a click to see if it works and I will, too.
