Actually having seen our first nutcracker vendors at the Queer Liberation March today, I can safely assume Summer 2021 has officially begun (A nutcracker is a strong alcoholic drink that originated in New York City and is often sold via word-of-mouth by street vendors). Another indicator of the season are the fireworks that - granted - are not nearly as out of control as last year, but still drive all the dogs in our neighbors' apartments out of their minds. Good times.
When you think of summer in New York City, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Ok, the second.
