There and Back Again
Hello, Readers All,
I was so sure I’d be sending a newsletter last Sunday from the comfy, warm room at the Hotel St. Denis in Montreal. After all, I did go out and purchase the (cheapest possible) laptop in order to be able to continue writing while we were in Vermont and then Montreal.
Want to guess how much writing I got done? Actually, I did start a new short story that’s almost certainly going nowhere.
Yeah. Well. Then to top it off, I foolishly decided to leave the laptop at our friends’ place in Vermont while going up to Montreal for the weekend.
Oops.
What. Ever.
We’re home. It was freezing up there and now it’s freezing here. But it was mild and gray when we left and it’s been mild and gray during most of the last three winters. Then we got to Vermont!

Since NYC Apparently No Longer Has Winter
And, yes, it was still mild and gray when we returned. For a day.

In other news, my partner in life and art (who is celebrating a birthday today, btw) just published his second book “Withdrawing Fables From The Memory Bank” which is available online as an e-book at Barnes & Noble using this link:

Ok, yes, I missed a week and so the hat sat empty (so sad) and it’s totally a-ok if it remains empty this week. What matters is that I get my backside into the seat and get to work.

There we are, Readers All, got it done and will be back to work getting “Graceless” spiffed up and ready for publication soon. The various small publishing companies I reached out to (none of which bothered responding) are just going to have to muddle along without this novel.
Tip of the appreciative hat - not to be confused with the Hat By The Door, of course - to a couple of my valued beta readers. And watch for copies of the new collection of short stories. I ordered author copies to send out to premium subscribers but anyone can order a copy:
