The End is Here!

Hello Readers, one and all,

And welcome new subscribers! We’re up to 40 subscribers and that’s pretty damned wonderful.

If you opened this newsletter and are reading it I’m assuming you’ve successfully navigated another Holiday Season’s minefields and just have to get through tonight to be home free.

You can do it!

Really, though, unless you work in the hospitality industry or a bar or a nightclub, tonight’s nothing. It’s amateur night, so unless you have to be out there, you have the luxury of sitting in your comfortable living room and watching the madness. Or ignoring it. Your choice.

You can even agree that:

I always forget how lovely it feels, too

Maybe, however, you’re of the New Year’s Resolutions ilk (why?). If so, ponder this:

Sorry, not sorry, but these beloved classics need to go away

I’m making a point of including some fiction in each newsletter because fiction tastes good and you need more of it in your diet. Call it a resolution to read more fiction and I’ll help get you started:

Reno? Really?. Gamble on This, Champ | by Remington Write | Plan-B Vibe | Medium

Gamble on This, Champ

And, finally, I save the best for last. AleXander’s piece this week is the kind that everyone should be thinking about on New Year’s Eve. Death.

I’m Dying!. No, not now! | by aleXander hirka | Medium

No, not now!

So, goodbye to the second decade of the 21st century. I won’t even venture to guess if we’ve learned anything useful this past ten years because I already know the answer to that. Let’s see how we manage in the third decade. There’s a lot of room for improvement.

Thanks so much for subscribing and even more for squandering your precious and irreplaceable moments reading!
