Surfing change
Hello and welcome to the new faces in the room; we're up to 25 subscribers!
We started October with Medium's new way of calculating payments (reading time vs clapping) and daily updates on earnings. Maybe things will change but my already modest earnings for my daily writing and publishing have taken a hit which, being unemployed and all, is a drag.
But I came back with this tip of the hat to clapping like a lunatic for everything we read on Medium:

I can’t help myself!!!
Having adjusted to this change I figured all would be quiet for at least the next half hour or so. I was wrong.
The newest policy from on high forbids the deleting and republishing of older articles and this is a real blow. When I started publishing my work on Medium a year ago I didn't know about submitting work to publications or including eye-catching photos or art. This meant that I had a treasure trove of older, dormant articles that I could delete, re-tool, re-work and republish. Some of these babies got curated and they all earned more pennies.
Here's are a couple such winners that languished unread until I gave them new photos, polished them up a bit and both got curated in Fiction:

So your mom was a New York punk legend in the '80s? Big deal.
And I always love to include whatever latest mischief my partner and lover has been up to writing-wise, so here's AleXander's latest piece, Aggressions Anonymous:

Thanks for reading and remember, even if you're not a Medium subscriber, your taking the time to read our work and clap (lots) makes a difference. And thanks for subscribing.
Til next week, Remington
