Show of Hands...
Well, hi there, Readers All,
Miss me? <cheeky grin> By way of an update, I’m four pages into Chapter 18 and my valued First Beta Reader has given an enthusiastic thumbs up to Chapters One through Eleven. After five plus years of (cough, cough) content creation that at times had me publishing new work daily, this focus on One Big Project has become a little, shall we say?, dull?
Ok, not dull. Most evenings I’m still having flashes of what I’ll be writing the next day. My rule is 500 words a day minimum, five days a week. However, most days I find that anywhere from 850 to 1300 words is about what I wind up writing.

I may be trying my hand at something new just to keep things juicy, however. A good friend clued me in to the open mic night at this nifty little venue, so it’s time to dust off some of the flash fiction of past years and put myself out on the line again.
Here’s a slick segue: speaking of years past - this year marks the ten year anniversary since my partner in life and art, AleXander Hirka, collaborated on our Two Stories Up project.
The details haven’t been sorted out yet, but it seems appropriate to celebrate this anniversary with a new iteration of this collaboration.
Now for your part. Show of hands from anyone who would like to be kept in the know about whatever it is that the Anomalous Duo comes up with to celebrate.
Another thing to celebrate: Sixteen months since “Graceless” made her debut in print and it’s time to add a second blurb to the back of the new edition (this will be the third edition, btw).

Big shout out and thanks to a well-loved Reader who has agreed to let me use part of his review on the B&N website as a blurb.
While I’ve been easing away from content creation, my partner has been exercising his filmmaking muscles. First with a new collage film, “Dusk Eyes”, as well as a powerful and lovely trailer for the film, but also with a new video project, “Gotta Get Through February”… which we did!
Btw, the next open mic at Reverie Room is Tuesday, April 14th. I’m psyching myself up to get onstage. Anyone here in the city who wants to shove me onstage, here’s your opportunity!
That’s it. That’s what we’ve been doing. And what we’re planning on doing.
As ever, any random witticisms as well as all absolutely deliberate inquiries are welcome at: Remington.write@gmail.com and, of course, the hat’s by the door.

And, now, back to work! Thank you again for your support through the years. I can forget that there are Readers who enjoy our work!
Most appreciated,
RW
