Shouldn't Have Looked

Hello, Readers All,

Generally I don’t pay a lot of attention to the analytics that this gizmo tracks and now I know why. Three people opened last week’s email. If you’re one of them, I owe ya. Clearly I’m not in this for the money and life is too short to chase clicks and followers. If anything I write goes viral, sweet. If not, oh well.

With all that in mind, I have to admit that seeing last week’s analytics was a bit of a whomp upside the head.

Will it change how I approach the work? Will I go cry in the corner and bitterly decide that I’m done? Will I search the recesses of my soul to see how I can do better? Will I sign up for courses on content creation?

Oh HELL no!

I yam what I yam. This is what you get and to anyone who’s ever opened a story of mine and been glad they did, I’m doing this for you.

And for you:

Just for my own entertainment, I also published this piece in Newsbreak where my shadow ban is still firmly in place. Two views. Heh.

Going back a couple of years, I found my first TED talk (now for the folks at TED to find it!).

We’re packing tonight and taking the train up to Vermont tomorrow for our first out of state get away since I can’t remember when. And we’ll be heading up to Montreal by next weekend. Since I have the new laptop there’s no reason I can’t get something new and interesting written and then I can send out a newsletter from the Hotel St. Denis next Sunday night.

Random city art on Hudson Street

That’s it then. The hat’s by the door and my thanks waft up out of it.
