One Step Forward...Two Steps Back

Hello, Readers All,

Chickens. We should start this week with chickens. Walking up Amsterdam Avenue after picking up the latest iteration of "Graceless" which I haven't begun reading yet (but will), I passed a community garden. When I paused to admire the garden, chickens came running over to check me out.

Just to be clear, I wholly approve of chickens in the city.

Now to the words bit of this week's whatever-it-is. Yes, indeed, there goes that dog again. Someone a block or so away is leaving their dog alone and the poor thing just barks incessantly. What to do, what to do?

Write about it. (Duh)

The coming shock to American Consumers

Time now for some gripping social commentary. Or something. At any rate, the gatekeepers at NewsBreak keep opening the gate for me so I'm going to keep going on in.

Opinion: Remind Me Why I Bother Paying the Fare | Remington Write | NewsBreak Original

I’m still paying to ride the bus. Go figure. Let’s start out with this: there have been people not paying the fare on New York City buses and subways since forever. This is not new.

AleXander, my partner in life and art, morphs between smithing words and conjuring images. This week it's "Shaman in the City" which I adore.

The hat's always by the door (you knew that) and all coinage is humbly accepted and appreciated.

That's it, Readers All, I bow in deep humility and take a big, old deep breath because it's time to get back to work.

Kindly forward any iced nightlights or wandering whimsies to me at: Remington.write@gmail.com

Back to it!
